As a company that believes wholeheartedly in supporting the local communities that have helped us grow over the decades, Blue Nail Enterprises is proud to partner with Garland ISD and Habitat for Humanity in their efforts to provide housing for families who’ve fallen on hard times. Recently, we completed another project in cooperation with these two wonderful organizations, providing free roofing materials and labor towards the construction of their 12th completed home.
In the video below, Blue Nail Enterprises owner Eric Thomason provides a brief overview of our most recent project working with GISD, Habitat for Humanity and students of Garland High School.
This program offers a number of unique benefits to the community, as well as students interested in learning the process of building homes and properly installing a new roof from scratch. The homes are built by the students as part of the Garland ISD, and coordinated under the direction of Habitat for Humanity. Blue Nail orders and pays for all of the roofing materials, and works closely with the students to teach and oversee the completion of the newly installed roof. Once completed, the house is then moved to an area in Garland where it will be donated.
Special Thanks to GAF Roofing
We would like to thank our friends at GAF Roofing who continue to support us in our mission to help those in need, as they’ve been very generous over the years in reimbursing us for the cost materials in an effort to help the cause. Our labor, planning and time spent teaching the kids how to build and install a roof is something we’re honored to provide, and we look forward to working on more projects in the future.
